Jack White (John Anthony Gillis)


Jack White is an american Musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist and actor. He is one of the best guitarrist of the world, he has been in three bands at the same time and he has made LPs by his own too. He started  with Goober & the Peas, then he continued with Two Star Tabernacle and with The Go. Not a lot of time after that,  he found The White Stripes, he made the band The Upholsterers and then he create The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.


  • White Stripes


It was formed in 1997 by Meg White and John Anthony Gillis (then called Jack White). They are from Detroit, and everybody think that they are brothers, but they were married and now they are divorced, so john retained his wife´s surname.
Meg plays the drums and Jack sings and play the guitar. In 2011, on February, they rid the band. Jack has played in two different bands until that:  The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs.

  • The raconteurs

The Raconteurs, also known as The Saboteurs, is an American rock band. It was formed in Detroit by other musical projects: Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler. Their style is near to Folk, but it still being good rock.

  • The Dead Weather

It is an American rock band formed in Tennessee in 2009 by Alison Mosshart, Jack White, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence. It a slower rock, more relaxed and critical, it is intelectual rock.

  • The Upholsterers

It was an American garage punk band in 2000, from Detroit. The two-piece band was composed of Jack White and Brian Muldoon. Jack provided vocals, guitar and piano, and Muldoon playes on the drums. They were originally called Two Part Resin.
They made just one single:

  • The Go

The go is an american rock & roll band from Detroit. Their sound has evolved from garage punk. It is compose primally by Robert "Bobby" Harlow (vocals), John Krautner (guitar, bass), Marc Fellis (drums), James McConnell (lead guitar) and rotating members as Jack White (98-99)

  • Two Star Tabernacle

It was a short-lived punk rock band from Detroit. It was created by Jack White, Dan John Miller, Tracee Mae Miller and Damian Lang. They don't have any albums, but they had some songs: Who's To Say, Itichi, Hotel Yorba, Worst Time of My Life,etc.



  • Goober & The Peas

They are a cowpunk band from Detroit known for blending odd humor to a darker side of country music. It was known for they frenetic lives. The band consisted of "Goober" (Dan John Miller), "Junior" (Tom Hendrickson Jr.), "Shorty" (Jim Currie), "Boss Hoss (Mike Miller), "Doc" (Damian Lang) and "Doc" (John Anthony Gillis in that time as the drumer).
